Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin is a side-scrolling action RPG where you switch between two hunters, Jonathan Morris and Charlotte Aulin, to explore Dracula's castle and defeat the vampire Brauner. Set in 1944, Jonathan wields the Vampire Killer whip while Charlotte casts magic. You'll navigate eight painted worlds hidden within the castle, solve puzzles using each character's unique abilities, and acquire new skills and weapons. Your decisions determine which of multiple endings you receive.

About This Game
Celebrating 20 years of vampire hunting action, the legendary
Castlevania series is back with an all-new action packed adventure. Take
control of two heroes, Jonathan Morris, a vampire hunter and his close
friend Charlotte Orlean, a girl with tremendous magical ability. Amidst
the chaos of World War II, two mysterious sisters emerge, working to
resurrect Dracula and David and Charlotte are all that stand in their
way.
• Two new playable characters, each with their own unique style of play
and abilities
• Strategically switch between characters in the heat of the action
• Call on your partner and execute Summon Attacks to decimate your
enemies
• Encounter over 100 diverse enemies in your adventure to stop Dracula’s
resurrection
• Original storyline set during World War II
• Collect items, weapons and magic as you explore the castle
• Explore several environments new to the series, such as the Desert,
abandoned cities and more
• Play with your friends in unlockable multi-player modes
As of May 20, 2014, the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service for Nintendo
DSi and Wii systems has been retired. Online features of this game are
no longer available after this date but this game still provides an
entertaining experience in offline mode.
